What your Favorite colour says about You?

Color affect our Psychology in ways we can't even imagine. It makes us decide which product to buy from which brand, it affects our perception of taste and different colors can provoke certain emotions in us. Just like this, your favourite color can also reveal a lot about your behavior and personality and that's why in this podcast segment, we will talk about different colors and their specific meaning.

 

1) Black

Person who likes black colour and usually wear it wants to be taken seriously by others. According to studies done in 2005-2006 and the reactions by peoples,On an average they said Black colour refers as mysterious, luxury, power, seriousness and Intelligence. That is one of the reason of why common corporate dress code is usually black in colour. People who wear black colour consciously and with a purpose in mind that they should be understood seriously with their qualities rather than their appearance. Black colour also refers to an introverted colour and a colour to compel. 

 

2) Blue 

According to 2015 Personality and Colour preference journal, people who like blue colour are described as peaceful, compassionate, competitors, confident and Sincerity. Blue Colour also refers to masculinity, reliability, intelligence and trustworthy. Blue colour makes mind calm. Blue colour is perfect for interview, school, wall painting for studying room and blue colour is also best for a date for men. That is why mostly school uniform is in blue colour or in shades of blue. 

 

3) Green 

Green colour influence our mind positively. Famous author Ellen Lupton in her book "Design in storytelling" Says Green colour motivates audience towards messages for health, positivity, problem solving, creativity because green colour resembles nature. People who like to wear green are usually nature lovers. Kindness and healthiness is their top priority. 

 

4) Red 

The relation between red colour and romance is not because it's shown in movies rather than it is a concept made by psychology. Red colour indicates our blood and health and due to this colour linked with our body this colour grabs our attention easily. Red colour is referred as Love, Lust, Anger and Power. People who like red colour are attention seeker and doesn't like other to ignore them or a dull response to themselves from others. 

 

5) Pink 

Pink colour is described as girly, fun, polite, sofesticted and Flirty. As compared to red which describes strong lust whereas pink which is toned down version of red describes innocent femininity. That is why female kids clothes and toys are in pink colour mostly. 

 

6) Yellow 

Yellow is described as happiness, hope and for Lightheartedness. Yellow is also an attention seeking colour and is the major reason that this colour is used in advertisement, road signs, banners. People who like yellow colour are active, approachable, adventure seekers and happy by nature. 

 

7) Purple 

Purple colour is described as a colour related to luxury. Because in ancient time only rich people could afford to dye their colour purple. Even in ancient Egypt, Queen Cleopatra was fond of purple colour. She owned many purple colour clothes and Jewelries. And in modern Culture, Purple colour is used to induced feelings such as magic,wisdom, mysticism. Purple colour is the opposite of average colour. People who like purple colour are referred as unique, Sofesticted, artistic, wise, powerful and sometimes aloof. 

 

8) Brown 

Brown colour describes earthly and rugged feelings. People who like brown colour are peaceful, stable, respectful and strong. This colour also refers to trustworthy and grounded. This colour shows genuine and down to earth qualities. 

 

9) White 

White colour is a symbol of purity, freedom, simplicity, and innocence. Usually people wear white clothes when they are going to start something new or going to end something in their life. People who likes white colour are referred as optimistic, happy and passionate and well organized by nature. 

 

10) Grey 

Grey colour is opposite of attention seeking colour. People who like grey colour, want to stay in limelight. If a person owns too much grey clothes then that person doesn't like to get noticed by others. This colour is described as relaxation, maturity and civility. People who are fond of wearing grey colour clothes are mature and stylish by nature.
