It is a network of networks that consist of private, public, academic business and government networks of local to global scope linked by broad array of electronic wireless and optical networking technologies.
The internet carries vast range of information resources and services such as the inter linked hypertext document and application of the world wide web, electronic mail, telephony, and file sharing.
Most traditional communication media including telephone radio, television ,paper mail and newspaper are reshaped, redefined or even bypassed by internet, giving birth to new services such as email, internet, telephone, internet telivision, online music, digital newspaper , and video streaming website.
The internet has enabled new form of personal interactions thriugh instant messaging, internet forums and social networking services.
